Silicon Prairie News acquired by Omaha’s AIM Institute

After going on a nearly month-long posting hiatus, Silicon Prairie News founders, Dusty Davidson and Jeff Slobotski, announced the acquisition of the company by Omaha-based AIM Institute.

For nearly six years, Silicon Prairie News (often shortened ‘SPN’) has focused on the startup and technology communities in the Omaha, Kansas City and Des Moines regions. The now-coined term, ‘Silicon Prairie,’ largely grew to prominence thanks to the company’s blog and event series, including Big Kansas City.

It is unclear what the implications of the acquisition will be, further details were withheld. We’re told to stay tuned for more.
